Thank you and happy new year! In the dark, park your Q5 towards a building, turn off the engine. Turn the headlight switch to full on, start the engine, the headlight beams should rotate down, then up. There are also headlight level sensors attached to the suspension at the front and rear.
The wires have pulled out of the plug for my headlight level rear sensor (1T0 907 503A ). Its a 2015 Q5 with Bi-xenon headlights causing the auto level to stop working. Wire Colours are Yellow Purple / Brown Grey / Blue (Could be light blue / dark blue) Plug for Sensor has 4 pins. One pin not used.

If the adaptive headlights fail to adjust at all, there is a possibility that the one of the wires going to the adaptive headlight motor could have been pinched or torn. The only way to know for sure is to open up the headlight and check. First you'll need to unscrew and remove the headlight from the car.
Normal procedure would be to enter basic settings in the headlight range control 55 and then manually raise the lights using the adjusters on the headlights to the correct height.
