🐖 Huawei Mate 20 Pro Dual Sim Not Working

Hi I have a second sim card which I have in the nano sd slot but seems that won't recognise or work as a second sim card. When used in the sim1 slot it is recognised but the second sim card not. Is there a way to run both sim cards at the same time or else what is the point of dual sim on the mate 20 Pro?
